Dr. Barry Crocker was born and raised in a small town in western New York State. He sensed God calling him into full time ministry soon after graduation from high school in 1977. It was almost two years later before he surrendered to God’s call on his life. He believed a call to ministry was a call to prepare for ministry, and soon enrolled in college. He graduated from Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, New York in 1983. He pastored a small church in Utica, New York for a year and then enrolled at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, in Wake Forest, North Carolina to begin work on his Master of Divinity degree. He graduated from SEBTS in 1989. He has served as Pastor of churches in Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia and South Carolina prior to being called as Pastor at Cumming Baptist Church. He received his Doctor of Ministry degree from Covington Theological Seminary in Rossville, Georgia in 2000. Pastor Barry has been married to his wife Denise for over 28 years and they have two grown children.

Mark Wood was born and raised right here in Forsyth County. A graduate of Forsyth County High School, he sensed the call to ministry during his first year of college. He attended Mercer University in Macon, GA, where he met his beautiful wife, Julie, of 23 years. Following college, Mark attended the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. During college and seminary, he served in several churches with youth, music and recreation. Mark began full time ministry in 1988 following seminary. He has served here at CBC since 1999. Mark & Julie have been blessed with 2 wonderful daughters and are grateful to our wonderful Lord for His abundant blessings.

Chad Ireland was raised in South Jersey. He surrendered to God’s call to full time ministry when he was 20 years old while earning a Comprehensive Bible degree from Cedarville University near Dayton, OH. He knew the Lord was calling him to be better equipped for ministry and attended The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY where he earned his Masters of Divinity. He and his wife Jennifer have been married for 8 years and have 2 beautiful children with twins on the way. Chad has been serving in student ministry for 7 years now. He began his ministry at CBC in 2008 and oversees the Children’s and Student Ministries. His passion is to reach others with the gospel of Jesus Christ in order to grow them into maturing followers of Jesus, serving the kingdom of God through the local church.
